POVERTY

So, if you haven't read the title, this blog post is about poverty. Now, first of all, what is poverty?

Poverty is a state of being extremely poor. Like living on the streets, or not having enough food to eat, or other things like that. This is also about equality; because there are people who are living on the streets, and there are also people who are living in mansions and who don't give a damn about the people who are suffering. They are there living their best life, not even realizing what is going on in the real world.

But I'm not saying that everyone who is rich, or has more money, is snobby or rude. I am saying that some of people's money can get to them, and they change as a person. But aside the point: some people are living like that. To be precise, in the U.S.A, 50 million people are living in poverty. Those are the people who sleep outside, or don't have enough food. And a lot of that 50 million, are children, and they don't deserve what they are getting. This is prompting children to steal food, so that they can eat. Otherwise, they have nothing.

​ There are some organizations who are working everyday to help those in need. Some like Unicef, or Oxfam. Those are mainly focusing on children. I hope that this blog post means something to you, I hope that you will be grateful of your food. Your shelter. Make it mean something to you. There are ways you can help too! For example Hermela and I donated, and volunteered at Cradles to Crayons. There are so many ways that you can help. Go out and do them!
